Q: What license options do you offer?
A: myDBR is available in three versions: a free Community version, a paid and supported Premium version, and an OEM version. The OEM version is intended for serving reports outside your own organization, for hosted applications, and distributable products. See the version comparison for details.
Q: Is the myDBR Community version really free? Will it stay free?
Q: The Community version has a 1-month license period. Can I renew it?
A: Yes, you can renew it as many times as you like.
Q: Why do we need to have a license for the Community version? Why do we have to renew it?
A: To be able to offer a free version, we need to minimize support costs. Supporting old versions is not feasible for the free version. The license system ensures that users are informed about new versions.
Q: Why should we choose the Premium / OEM version?
A: A Premium / OEM version offers full functionality. See the version comparison for details. We do hope that you find myDBR useful and will support our work by acquiring a Premium / OEM license.
Q: What is the OEM version for?
A: If you you serve reports outside your own organization, have a hosted service or a distributable product, you wish to embed myDBR into the application, the OEM version is for you. The OEM version also offers more features and branding options
Q: How do we get support?
A: Direct support is available to Premium and OEM license holders. For the Community version, the myDBR forum is available.
Q: Can we get a license for an older myDBR version?
A: Licenses are generated for the current myDBR version to ensure you can always update to the latest version at no additional cost.
Q: My company has a valid EU VAT identification number. Can I purchase the license without tax added?
A: Yes. Just fill in your VAT number before the purchase and your purchases will be VAT-free.
